The brand had strong offline equity and a loyal customer base, but online performance was lagging. Their ad creative lacked direction, messaging was inconsistent across channels, and the e-commerce experience didn’t reflect the quality of the product. Despite running campaigns, return on ad spend was flat, and the brand wasn’t getting the reach or results it deserved. The existing tech stack lacked integration, and most new visitors weren’t converting into customers, let alone repeat buyers.

We started with a full audit of their funnel, creative assets, and ad accounts. The goal was to build a system—not just run campaigns. We launched a multi-channel paid media strategy focused on Meta, Google, and TikTok, using content hooks around coffee culture, craftsmanship, and lifestyle. Paid ad flows were segmented to speak to discovery-phase coffee lovers, return shoppers, and equipment buyers. Meanwhile, we rebuilt the email and SMS system in Klaviyo, launching automated flows that responded to user behavior, from abandoned carts to post-purchase education. Using AI-powered tools, we generated and tested dozens of creative angles in the first two weeks—leveraging video, UGC, and clean product visuals. We redesigned key landing pages with CRO best practices: faster load speeds, simplified UX, trust-building content, and one-click conversions. All systems were brought together under a connected analytics dashboard for real-time performance tracking and adaptive spend allocation.

In just the first 30 days, the impact was undeniable. Hawthorne Coffee Roasters reached over 3.2 million impressions across Meta, Google, and TikTok, generating massive brand visibility in a previously untapped digital audience. Revenue skyrocketed with a 497% increase compared to the prior month, while the site’s conversion rate rose from 2.2% to 6.5%. Email and SMS campaigns contributed 29% of total revenue thanks to newly launched automated flows, and remarketing efforts lifted the repeat purchase rate by 43%. Most importantly, the cost of acquiring new customers dropped by 36%, making growth not only fast,but efficient.

This project was a clear example of what happens when a beloved brand meets a scalable system. It reminded us that great products can get lost without the right digital infrastructure—and that strategy, execution, and iteration must move as one.
